BLACKBERRY TEA MOJITO
2 oz white rum (We suggest Havana Club Añejo Blanco)
5 blackberries
5 large mint leaves
.75 oz black tea simple syrup*
.75 fresh lime juice
DIRECTIONS:
Muddle mint leaves, blackberries, syrup and lime juice in the bottom of your glass. Add ice and rum. Top with soda water and stir the mixture with a barspoon to incorporate the ingredients. Garnish with a lime wheel and bouquet of mint.
*Black Tea Simple Syrup:
1 cup water
1 cup sugar
4 black tea bags
Directions: Bring water to a rolling boil. Add in 4 black tea bags and steep for 5 minutes. Stir in sugar until it dissolves. Reduce heat and stir until the mixture has reduced to half its original volume (about ten minutes). Remove from heat and allow to cool. Pour into a clean jar with a tight-fitting lid. Keep refrigerated. Will last up to 6 months.
