Old Cuban: Mojito + Champagne & Bitters = Perfection

The Old Cuban is everything great about a mojito with a touch of champagne…

A modern classic made famous by Audrey Saunders, the Old Cuban is everything great about a mojito with a touch of elegance and depth. This is a real crowd pleaser and perfect for a celebratory event or to just bring some happiness to any day of the week.

OLD CUBAN

  • 1.5 oz Aged Rum

  • 3/4 oz Fresh Lime Juice

  • 1 oz Simple Syrup

  • 6 Large Fresh Mint Leaves

  • 2 dash Angostura Bitters

  • 2 oz sparkling wine (brut Cava works great)

DIRECTIONS:

  • Add all ingredients to a shaker (except sparkling wine).

  • Add ice and shake very hard for about 10 seconds until well chilled.

  • Double strain into cocktail coupe.

  • This ensures all the mint bits don't get in your teeth.

  • Top with sparkling wine (brut cava or champagne if your ballin’ out)

  • Garnish with a lime wheel and mint bouquet.
