We're suckers for any Negroni-style cocktail, which is what I had in mind when I whipped up this bad mf. Equal parts, no frills, no fluff.
HOME BAR NETWORK ORIGINAL RECIPE
We're suckers for any Negroni-style cocktail, which is what I had in mind when I whipped up this bad mf. Equal parts, no frills, no fluff. Tequila, Amaro, Bitter Orange. Boom. We used Demetrio Anejo, but any Anejo will do it. And if you can't find the Tattersall, sub in Campari in a pinch.
CAPTAIN SHOOK
1 oz Anejo Tequila (go for an affordable additive-free option like 3 Amigos)
1 oz Amaro Montenegro
1 Orange Peel
Stir ingredients in a mixing glass with ice until well-chilled
Strain over one large rock in an Old Fashioned Glass.
Garnish with an orange peel.
