Marvelous Miss Basil

You really can't go wrong with strawberry and basil...this one's a REAL CROWD PLEASER!

You love the name but you'll love the cocktail even more! We whipped this recipe up for our Cocktail Pop-Up Shop at CBD Store And More in Historic Roswell, GA and boy was it a hit!

MARVELOUS MISS BASIL 

• 2 oz Vodka

• .75 oz Fresh Lemon Juice

• .75 oz Basil Syrup

• 2 large ripe strawberries

Directions:

• Muddle strawberries with basil syrup.

• Add lemon juice, vodka and ice and shake until well chilled.

• Strain over fresh ice and garnish with a strawberry slice and basil leaf.

*Homemade Basil Syrup -

• Combine 1 cup sugar with 1 cup filtered water.

• Heat on medium and stir until sugar dissolves.

• Add a large handful of fresh basil and remove pot from heat.

• Let steep covered for about an hour.

• Pour through fine mesh strainer and refrigerate.

• Will keep for 2-3 weeks!

Go to the store and buy Simply Lemonade (Strawberry Lemonade flavor). Pour into large pitcher with desired amount of vodka. Perhaps two cups to start and add more if you want it stronger. Add in basil syrup to taste and a few squeezes of fresh lemon juice to brighten the flavor. Float some sliced lemon wheels, sliced strawberries and basil leafs in the pitcher and you'll have the most beautiful presentation, perfect for your next party, bridal shower, birthday party or really just to make any regular day feel extra special!
