Sangre Sour
She is BEETIFUL. Reposado tequila, beet and ancho chile are total flavor buddies
Add in some fresh thyme and lime and we have a keeper! You gotta try out this flavor bomb!
SANGRE SOUR
1.5 oz Tequila Reposado
75 oz Ancho Reyes
.75 oz Beet Juice
.75 oz Thyme Syrup*
.75 oz Fresh Lime
1 Egg White
Directions:
Shake all ingredients with ice until well-chilled.
Strain cocktail out and dump ice.
Shake again without ice to whip the egg white into a foam and pour into a chilled coupe.
Garnish with a fresh sprig of thyme.
*Thyme Syrup:
Heat one cup sugar with one cup filtered water until dissolved.
Add 1/2 cup fresh thyme and allow to steep for several hours — longer will give you more flavor.
Strain syrup and refrigerate up to two weeks.
