Sangre Sour

She is BEETIFUL. Reposado tequila, beet and ancho chile are total flavor buddies

Add in some fresh thyme and lime and we have a keeper! You gotta try out this flavor bomb!

SANGRE SOUR

  • 1.5 oz Tequila Reposado

  • 75 oz Ancho Reyes

  • .75 oz Beet Juice

  • .75 oz Thyme Syrup*

  • .75 oz Fresh Lime

  • 1 Egg White

Directions:

  • Shake all ingredients with ice until well-chilled.

  • Strain cocktail out and dump ice.

  • Shake again without ice to whip the egg white into a foam and pour into a chilled coupe.

  • Garnish with a fresh sprig of thyme.

*Thyme Syrup:

  • Heat one cup sugar with one cup filtered water until dissolved.

  • Add 1/2 cup fresh thyme and allow to steep for several hours — longer will give you more flavor.

  • Strain syrup and refrigerate up to two weeks.
